Stipula Virtus Memoriae Prototype FP: sterling silver

This item is out of stock

This Stipula pen, designed by master sculptor Paolo Cerrini in high-relief engraved sterling silver, depicts Odysseus being greeted by his loyal dog Argos at the conclusion of his ten-year journey home to Ithaca. The top of the cap is set with a blue topaz gem stone. Piston filling system. Medium 18K two-tone gold nib. In a generic Stipula box. Excellent condition, not inked. RARE: One of several prototypes created in advance of the standard limited edition of 398. These prototypes may differ in subtle ways from the production models, making them essentially unique. They were not commercially available and are extremely difficult to obtain. This example is from the personal collection of Stipula's U.S. distributor upon his retirement from the pen business.
