Retro 1951 Rare Advertising Desk Set/Red Acrylic Pyramid Base With Matching Pen

Here's another "hot" one for the Retro collector/desk set lover.  This red acrylic pyramid desk base was made for the drug Avandamet, which according to a former Retro employee, was spending big on ad specialty items until the FDA put the kibosh on their proposed new drug.  The name and clinical name are stamped below the pen holder, which sports the traditional round Retro ring.  The matching roller ball uses the long cap-less refill, providing the smoothest writing of all available refills.
